Masks Optional for Zenkaikon 2026

Masks may be worn by any members attending Zenkaikon if they choose. This includes vendors, artists, panelists, guests, Zenkaikon staff, volunteers, and anyone affiliated with or participating in the in-person convention. If you feel ill while attending, we encourage using a surgical or health mask.

We are not requiring proof of vaccinations for Zenkaikon 2026.

Your membership allows us to continue our mission of celebrating and educating the public about Japanese animation, science fiction, fantasy, comics, games, and fandom; and allows you to attend our annual convention – Zenkaikon!

By pre-registering, you will receive a discount on your membership and have faster check-in at the convention. You will also have access to our Thursday Evening Programming exclusive for all pre-registered members! Pre-registered members will also be able to pick up their badges beginning on Thursday afternoon, so they can start enjoying the convention the minute it opens!

Registration Policies

Pre-Registration Membership Rates

Memberships obtained by pre-registering are valid for all three days of the convention.

Deadlines

The listed deadlines are the last dates that the listed membership rates are available. The membership rate automatically increases at midnight on the day following the date listed under deadline (e.g. at 11:59 pm on September 30th, the price is $60 per General membership, and at 12:00 am on October 1st, the price is $65 per General membership).

Special Rates

Children Under 10

Children ages 9 and under can receive a free Zenkaikon Child membership with the purchase of at least one General membership. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To receive the special rate, select a General membership and enter the date of birth to validate the discount.

Youth Membership

Children over the age of 9 but under the age of 13 can receive a Zenkaikon Youth membership with the purchase of at least one General membership. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. To receive the special rate, select a General membership and enter the date of birth to validate the discount.

Group Rates

Groups of 10 or more registering together receive a 10% discount per person on the General membership rate. This discount is automatically applied when you select a quantity of 10 or more General memberships. This discount is not available on other membership types.

At-Door Membership Rates

Only General Memberships are available at the door of the convention. All memberships purchased at the door are valid for the entire convention from the time of purchase. Memberships purchased on later days of the convention (e.g., Saturday, Sunday) are discounted accordingly.

Minors at Zenkaikon

All members who will be under the age of 13 as of March 20, 2026 must be accompanied by an adult paying member at all times. Free Child memberships are available for minor children under the age of 10. Discounted Youth memberships are available for minor children between the ages of 10-12.

Thank you for complying with this policy for the safety of our youngest members.

Preferred Names

If you have a name that you would like to be referred to that differs from your ID, please include it on your registration form.

Confirmation and Badge Pickup

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. If you think you registered, but haven’t received a confirmation, please contact the Registration Department here.

Please note that badges are not mailed. They will be available for pickup at the pre-registration desk upon arrival to the convention. You will need your Driver’s License, Student ID, or another type of photo identification to receive your badge.

18+ Wristbands

To attend events restricted to members who are 18 and over, an 18+ wristband will be required. Wristbands will be available in the Registration area during the convention (the hours will be posted as we get closer to the convention).

To receive an 18+ wristband, we require a valid government-issued ID such as: a US state-issued driver’s license, a US state-issued non-drivers photo ID, a passport, or a US military ID (e.g., a CAC card). Unfortunately, we cannot accept birth certificates and school IDs as identification to receive 18+ wristbands.

21+ Events

There may be some events that are restricted to members who are 21 and older. A government-issued photo ID will be checked at the door of these events. Acceptable IDs are a US state-issued driver’s license, a US state-issued non-drivers photo ID, a valid passport, or a US military ID (e.g., a CAC card).

Refund and Transfer Policy

If you register for a Zenkaikon membership and find that you are unable to attend Zenkaikon 2026, you may transfer your membership to another individual by following the policy outlined below.

You must create an account with TicketSpice (our Registration provider). A link to create your account is included in your registration confirmation email.
To initiate a transfer, login to your account. Select “Tickets” and then “View Details” next to your order. Select “Transfer” and enter the name and email of the person you are transferring your membership to.
Transfers may be initiated through March 14, 2026.
Memberships may not be resold. If you are found to be selling your membership, that membership will be voided..

We are sorry, but Zenkaikon does not provide refunds. However, you add on Purchase Protection through our registration partner, TicketSpice, which will protect you if you find yourself unable to attend.
