What anime would YOU recommend to other people?

Postby Kimichou » Wed Jul 18, 2007 10:40 pm

I dunno I thought it would be cool to have a thread to recommend anime to other people b/c that's always fun. I'll start it off...

Full Metal Panic!
-Ok I seriously think everyone should watch this show. The storyline is pretty good and the characters are awesome. It's got a love triangle, comedy, seriousness, action, drama, EVERYTHING pretty much.

Kaleido Star
-I recommend this for the girls lol. It's about a circus, and the costumes are AWESOME and just wow...its a really good show and some of the stunts they do are cool.

Lucky Star
-It's a slice of life anime but its funny. And its by the people who made Haruhi =P.

Genshiken - Anyone who is a member of a anime, comic or manga club should watch this show. Or any anime fan in general. Laugh out loud funny.

Nana - A must see for any shojo fan. I like the manga better, but the anime is very faithful.

Death Note - A soon to be classic. Great animation, great story.

Now and Then, Here and There
It's sad and serious, but very excellent.

Fushigi Yuugi
A classic shoujo fantasy. I'm required to recommend it.

R.O.D. (the TV and the OVA)
Nice action, excellent storyline and characters, feels like it can be enjoyed by any anime fan.

One Piece (as long as it's not the dub). I could probably write ten pages on how much I love this show. In short though it's simply the most epic adventure anime/manga/piece of fiction to ever be produced.

I'd say Fullmetal Alchemist but 1 out of every five anime fans will probably say "I already saw that!"

I'd recommend GetBackers, I think that show is underrated. Whistle! is a really good sports anime/manga, although the anime isn't out in America. I'd recommend Death Note (although I prefer the manga to the anime), and just for fun, a good shoujo-ai recommendation is Maria-sama ga Miteru.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Bloody and Scary

School Days - A Harem anime without the typical ending

Gundam series - because I'm a Gundam addict

Kanon - Very awesome series

Hayate no Gotoku - a love comedy involving a debt ridden butler

Kiddy Grade = awesome series

12 Kingdoms - Very interesting blend of ancient Asian cultures

Kujibiki Unbalance - I still can't believe that they actually made a spinoff from the Genshiken series.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha - And to think this series is a spinoff of a dating sim game about something else entirely different.

I’m so confused as to whom to cosplay as next year, Roxas, Namine, Nina Sakura, Misa Amane, or just to wear a Lolita fashion :(

Personaly Fullmetal Alchemist upset me. I'm a die hard FMA fan cause I love the manga. But it's sad the anime does'nt follow the manga AT ALL. There only remotly simaler till volume 7. But I do have to admit It's kinda like watching an alternate version. But manga over anime anyday.

I would recomend....

VAMPIRE KNIGHT
The bestest drama/vampire/hard to follow story line/dead sexy main character anime out there. (Yes, even as a guy I will give in to the dead sexyness of Zero)

HATSUHARU FOREVER!!!!!

Moo~

But again I don't like how it just ends ubruptly. Manga is better.

Oh I forgot to mention this in my last post.

I also recomend
Zombie Loan
An unpopular anime (now) so far only 9 episodes that are dubed. But it's a good action fast pasted anime for those of you who hate the slow drama, or the mega slow DBZ style fights were they charge there laser half the damn episode, the inuyasha style were they do nothing at all for hundreds of episodes, or the anime were there is only one main villan. I recomend this anime to people who get board or have ADHD. This will keep your entest every secound.
