Was wondering when we would expect to get information about where and what time we report for the mandatory gofer meeting?

You will be briefed before you start your first shift.

After it is confirmed that all gofer applicants have already paid for their registration, a message will go out asking if any volunteers already know the specific times they wish to work. Usually volunteers are not sure of the times until they see the programming schedule. :D

Sorry to be a bother, but another question regarding volunteers/gofers. On April 24 I received a message that said, "After you arrive at the convention and pick up your badge stop by the Zenkaikon Gofer table next to Con Ops to check in." The program schedule with the convention map went up just a few days ago. It doesn't show where Con-Ops is on the map.

Also, the convention starts at 3:00pm for programming. I can't find anywhere on the website where it says what time registration will open. I would imagine earlier than 3pm so I checked the FAQ and looked under Registration Questions. The following link that seemed to have the answer is broken: http://www.zenkaikon.com/general/registration.php 0_0;;

Hey there! Con-Ops tables are going to be very noticeable when you arrive at the convention. They are marked on our map with the Question Mark Symbol and connected with our Information Tables and will be located in Hall A (the same hall where the Registration Tables, the Video Gaming, the Stage, Photobooth, Concessions, and Autograph tables will be).

Our registration hours are posted on our Schedule and Map File, right under the Map image and they are:
Registration & Check-In Hours
Friday: 1-9PM (1PM-2PM Pre-Reg Only)
Saturday: 8AM-9PM (8-8:30PM Pre-Reg Only)

In addition to our schedule and map file, our Registration Hours are listed on our site under General Information->Hours of Operation here:
http://www.zenkaikon.com/general/hours.php

Hope this helps! Thanks for the notice about the broken link, it has been forwarded to our webmaster.

Hello! So, I gofered this year (2012) at Zenkaikon and was wondering whether or not reimbursements for memberships had been sent out yet.
I was told that I would be receiving a full reimbursement for my membership because of the hours I worked, but I haven't.

If someone could help me out with this matter, I'd really appreciate it! Especially since it has been so long... Thanks in advance!

Hi trollolita,

I believe that reimbursements were already given out. If you could send me a PM with your full name, e-mail address, and what hours/days you volunteered (as best as you can remember), I'll forward your info to the appropriate departments so they can look into yours. I'll also alert them to this thread.

Thanks again for volunteering and we hope to see you again in 2013! :)
