Sakura Ball <3

Heya guys! This is my first time going to Zenkaikon and one of the coolest things about this con is the Sakura Ball!!
So, give me the low-down! What are you wearing? (Post pics if you want!) Did you make your dress? Are you cosplaying? Are you going? Are you excited? Will you be going with someone? I know me and my friend will be riding solo and would like to dance with some people out there ;D
Has anyone gone to the ball before? How was it?

I'm veeeery excited for the ball :O I went to the last one and it was awesome. Last time they had us switching partners, which was fun, so going stag isn't a big deal. I will probably be going solo with some friends as well, if I convince any of them to go with. If not, going solo solo O_O

This ball is setup the same way as the last ball with 'set' dancing, and the same band as 2008's ball, except a looot more space and some other improvements. More info is here:

I am going to try to stop by the ball if I am not needed elsewhere. I still have my dress ready from the ball I just attended at Katsucon

here is a video we took of the ball when it happened in 2008 in a pretty small room. Same band and same type of music for this year, but much bigger and better space and setup!

Tap shoes at a formal event? I'm sure you can answer this one yourself, considering most public establishments will not let you wear tap shoes unless they want you to destroy their flooring.

Basically, it's not a ball in which you all just dance around and do what you want to do. It's a ball in which you are instructed on how to dance in a certain manner, and then everyone does it. Just watch the youtube video. There's no opportunity to tap dance.
