Question about registration

Ok so since this is my first con, I'm a little confused about preregistration. I've already preregistered, but I don't understand how it works.

"Badges are not mailed; will be available for pick up at the convention during the hours that the registration desk is open."
(That is all it said on the main site)

The badges are kinda like our ticket proving that we paid right? That what I've assumed.
What are the hours that the registration desk is open? I saw the con schedual but I didn't see it on there.
I only need to know the hours for saturday, since thats the only day I'm going.
We don't need to be there right away right? Because I doubt We'll be able to make it by 9 am. I'm definitly not a morning person, and one of my other friends thats coming with us it even worse. I'd rather try to wake up a dog with rabies, than her. Trust me, its scary.

I'm going to post in the suggestion section about having more information about preregistration. So hopefully you don't have more con-virgins like me posting this same thread next year.

Please bring your Student ID or License or some kind of ID to verify and receive your badge. Additionally for any 18+ events, we will need your ID to give you an admission bracelet.

So basically, bring your ID (and your receipt just in case), go to the convention during registration/pick up hours, hand them your stuff and they hand you a badge plus your stuff back. I don't know when/where the pick up is, but they're supposed to post a schedule soon and it'll probably be on there...

The registration/pick up desk is usually open from the start of the con (and even sometimes like and hour or so earlier!) to when ever they feel like closing it down that day, and then will open the next day around 9am.

Registration opens right when the con opens and goes almost until the con closes. On Friday, it opens at 4PM, and stays open until late, and on Saturday it opens at 9AM and stays open until late.

Registration has its own tables and they will be clearly marked. They're close to the front of the con and you have to pass them to get into the con, so they should be hard to miss.

The schedule has been posted already on the con website- good point though forgot to put the registration hours on there. Will work on fixing the file.

There we go. Schedule has been updated with Reg Desk times, and we finished the map of the con and that's up too.

Reg Desk: Friday: 3 Pm-12 midnight
Saturday: 9AM-10PM

Looking at the schedule for friday night: you've opened registration at 3pm, but no con events start until 4pm. Therefore are you allowing people to mingle within the con area until the "official kickoff" at 4pm? One of your con policies states that we're not allowed in the con area until things are opened. Not sure if this was an oversight, or whether you're choosing to allow people in at 3pm, but won't start events until 4pm.
